First off all, Happy Halloween folks…

Secondly, seeing that our friend is slightly late with scans tonight, I'm taking this opportunity to do a bit of scheduled maintenance (software upgrades, site and database backups, bugfixing, and perhaps new features) on the site. Don't panic if shit starts to look funny, everything is under control. This shouldn't take more than an hour.

UPDATE: Site backup, database backup, and upgrade to Wordpress 2.0.5 was success. Sorry for the 5 minute hiccup. Furthermore, pay no attention to the new forum button (for now at least)… I'm just tinkering.

SECOND UPDATE: Chapter 480 is unofficially delayed.

They seriously had it coming… Their pwnage is now complete!

I visited at leas a dozen Inuyasha forums during the broadcast of the dubbed finale and there were RIFs (Rabid Inuyasha Fangirls) going completely bug-fuck over the ending, some even to the point of threatening suicide.

It's times like this that I wish the uncivilized Inuyasha fans didn't exist… People, it's just an anime! It's not like some of us felt a little jipped 2 years ago when we watched it fansubbed. We were surprised too, but at least we were mature about it.

(Well, I was never surprised. I read the manga like a good boy so I knew what was going to happen. Furthermore, it was public knowledge back then that the anime was not going to have its own ending and rather finish rather abruptly with the climax of using the shard.)

I have a message for any of the crazy RIFs that manage to stumble upon this site.

It's pretty much now or never for Kanna, she has to say SOMETHING to Inuyasha's group. Furthermore, if she doesn't die now, we probably won't see her for a long time (perhaps not until at least chapter 500). Either way, I foresee something incredibly nasty happening to her in this chapter. It's pretty clear that she will die when her body shatters, but I have no clue as to what will directly cause that. Unless Kanna is stupid enough to pull a sneak attack, I don't see Inuyasha or Kagome being the ones to deliver the fatal blow. I see an interference from Byakuya to be the most likely scenario. If anything, I'd doubt he'd stand idly by as Kanna attempts to tell Inuyasha's gang anything remotely useful.

It's quite an ominous pattern, that is… Until you see title of Hakudoushi's final chapter: Hakudoushi no Saigo (The End of Hakudoushi).

For those of you who have been waiting patiently for chapter 477 from us, stay strong. If all goes well, we should be releasing the chapter some time this week. For the most part, it is mostly internal and external issues of group honor that need to be sorted out as well as a lack of permissions from certain people that are preventing us from releasing.

However, another challenge faces the community!

Once again, all 3 groups are facing a delay. This time, it's chapter 478. Our friend still hasn't gotten her scanner fixed (she hopes to have it fixed on or by the 20th). For us at the most likely scenario is that we release 477 and 478 sometime on around that date (or earlier, through the permission and virtue of others with raws).

Koopa, myself, Ris, Patches, and Urd-chan are hopefully all a bit more prepared this week because last week was simply chaotic and full of frustration.
