LOL @ the pissed Inuyasha anime fans.

They seriously had it coming… Their pwnage is now complete!

I visited at leas a dozen Inuyasha forums during the broadcast of the dubbed finale and there were RIFs (Rabid Inuyasha Fangirls) going completely bug-fuck over the ending, some even to the point of threatening suicide.

It's times like this that I wish the uncivilized Inuyasha fans didn't exist… People, it's just an anime! It's not like some of us felt a little jipped 2 years ago when we watched it fansubbed. We were surprised too, but at least we were mature about it.

(Well, I was never surprised. I read the manga like a good boy so I knew what was going to happen. Furthermore, it was public knowledge back then that the anime was not going to have its own ending and rather finish rather abruptly with the climax of using the shard.)

I have a message for any of the crazy RIFs that manage to stumble upon this site.

GET OVER IT AND READ THE DAMN MANGA!

Wow, I didn't know that fans go THAT crazy, LOL. That is a bit scary ~_^

But I do agree that we're long overdue for a new Inuyasha anime series. My (detailed) reason here.

You mean they aired the finale dubbed already? Well shit, I forgot they were starting up the new episodes this month. -_-;;;
Ah well, I've seen it subbed so it's not like I missed too much. I did want to see it dubbed though…

I watched it, and even though I knew what was going to happen next, I can understand why others would feel cheated. It was good as an episode but horrible as an ending. Nothing was resolved.

However, this can have a good result. The pressure from the US and Canadian fans, which are 2x that of Japan, may spark the start for the new rebeginning of the series.

No need to be rude. Inuyasha is a great anime and that ending didn't do it justice. I mean sure, I'm probably not going to commit suicide and I've been reading the manga anyways, but if i was a suicidal rabid fangirl insulting me would not be the best way of telling me to get a life. * foams from mouth as a nice large sweat drop appears on stark's head *

Words of wisdom (Starks and Irene).
It disappoints me when I notice that certain fans cannot tear themselves away from the the television screen, and generally behave as if the manga did not exisit. It smacks of laziness and immaturity. It may even be a disservice to RK (or for that matter, any mangaka). This is how you support the artist guys: Reading The Manga.

And speaking about support…
I get my personal Inuyasha goodies (tankoubon, single copies of Shonen Sunday, and miscellaneous bits of fluff) from Sasuga Books, which is located in Cambridge, MA. A partial set of 10 tankoubon (volumes) cost $58.00. A single tankoubon costs $6.20. A single Shonen Sunday is $5.05. It's not exorbitant to buy the volumes (you must purchase at least $20.00 for mail orders, though). Even if you purchase the VIZ editions of Inuyasha at Amazon.com, you're still doing your share. And don't feel that since you are reading this rant on FM, you're above it all. Unless you're helping to support the series by actually purchasing any copyrighted merchandise, especially the manga, you are not. How many fans out there know that a three-month sub of Shonen Sunday is $111.60? Not many, I'll bet. Only the most dedicated Inu fan would pony up for a subscription at that price, as that is much more than the average fan can afford (including a student like me, especially since I live in New York where the rents are in the upper stratosphere). But here (and there), the manga is provided for you, already translated and scanned. All you have to do is read it. And buy it. If I can do it, so can everyone who is reading this. It's time to grow up, fangirls!

*yawn* That's $20.00 of primo merchandise, of course.
And I'll ignore what you said, Alberto.

RIF: A Rabid Inuyasha Fangirl, an Inuyasha fan that is completely devoid of common sense, morals, or restraint. A telltale symptom of being a RIF is the complete rejection of reality and the existence of the manga. Bad grammar, character infatuations, and joygasms while watching the anime are also common. RIFs are overwhelmingly female which is quite a surprise considering that Inuyasha is shounen.

Inuyasha fan: An Inuyasha fan is an overall insightful, knowledgeable, and civilized individual who enjoys things of or pertaining to Inuyasha. A fan enjoys lengthy and sophisticated discussions with others about the anime and manga. Usually up to date with the manga or cognizant of its existence.

The RIFs are extremely irritating, especially the ones that go absolute batshit hating/loving Kagome/Kikyo. I at first thought a couple RIFs were parodies of imaginary, foam-at-the-mouth fans; but no, they're real. As real as schizophrenia, molestation, and murder.

" Great anime my ass " If you hate it, fine! But you don't have to post it on an Inuyasha site. Plus, if you hate the anime then why do you read the manga? Nevermind, don't answer. I don't want to know.

I've never met an RIF. I think of myself only as a simple fan. I am a fan of the show and manga "Inuyasha". I am a slightly bigger fan of the character Sesshoumaru, and I do mildly hate the character Kikyo. I think the RT is a genius in how she has single-handedly put this whole saga together. But that is it. There are other things to talk about, other anime and tv shows to watch. In addition to Inuyasha, I love to watch Ayashi no Ceres, DNAngel, Pretear, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Heroes, Smallville, and Avatar. Life is not all about Inuyasha. I sincerely hope Starks was kidding on the suicide part, because that is just sad…

In response to comment #548:
Besides Inuyasha, I, myself, am also partial to Rurouni Kenshin and Avatar. I used to watch Smallville, but grew annoyed at the attempt to link every superhero from the DC Universe to Clark's pre-Metropolis existence. I am also a great fan of Trinity Blood (Vampire pwnage–too cool!), and was pretty happy when Adult Swim made the decision to air it, although, as with other series, the manga (and novels) are superior.

My friend likes Trinity Blood, but I don't care for it. And I know the struggles with watching Smallville, but I've decided to stick with it for the long haul. For anyone who feels they have nothing to watch since Inuyasha's over, I suggest any of the anime and tv shows I previously mentioned in 548. Especially Avatar, which should not be considered a simple kid's show. It's very developed with alot of adult themes. (I just finished watching Lake Laogai and was totally hyped! ;) )

So don't get beat up about Inuyasha, it'll probably make more episodes. Until then, read the manga and watch other stuff. :)

I'm not sure more Inu episodes will be made, Irene. I'm not sure I'd want more episodes anyway; there is a LOT of filler. The manga has recently gotten really good, but there have been months and months where it was just really dull. I personally am just fine sticking with the manga and discussion groups.

I've never heard of Avatar. I'll check it out.

As long as there's a want for something in the market, a company will step up to fill it. If Sunrise doesn't do it, somebody else will. It's all a matter of profits, and right now, there's alot more people wanting Inuyasha, and many would pay good money for it. Especially these so-called RIFs. And who cares about filler? Naruto's been having about a hundred episodes of it, just so the writer can build somemore depth in his manga. Does that stop fans? NO WAY! They continue to watch and read.

As to Avatar, it's a show that's on Nick, and is considered to be "American Anime". It entails a mythical world where there are 4 nations that represent the 4 elements:Air, Water, Earth and Air. There are certain people from these nations that can manipulate or "bend" their particular element. There is one person out of all the nations that can bend all 4, he or she is called the Avatar. The show involves one such boy, and his adventures with his friends as he tries to end a 100 year war between the fire nation and all the others.
The shows been on for about two years, and the entirety of the first season can be seen on youtube, reruns on tv, or bought on DVD. The second season is now close to its end. I saw one episode and was hooked, I suggest this series to anybody, it's not too adult for kids, but it's not a show that's for the faint of heart either. It has fans ranging from 7 to 37, my own adult, married cousin introduced it to me. If you need to get over your Inuyasha blues, or just want to enjoy a good series, I suggest this show to you.

The show really doesn't compare to the manga though. Once Inu Yasha learns how to do Kaze no Kizu it starts on a downhill slope. Everything from the animation to the amount of substance begins to decrease until by the time IY gets the red tetsusaiga it's become a steaming pile of filler and flashbacks. Even the things taken from the manga become silly and plot hole filled, so I really hope they don't continue the anime. I did really like the anime in the beginning, but like any anime longer than 50 or so episodes it began to suffer and decay.

Anyway Avatar is pretty cool, but I have only seen a few episodes since I have no idea what it's program schedule is (and I need DVR)
