The show really doesn't compare to the manga though. Once Inu Yasha learns how to do Kaze no Kizu it starts on a downhill slope. Everything from the animation to the amount of substance begins to decrease until by the time IY gets the red tetsusaiga it's become a steaming pile of filler and flashbacks. Even the things taken from the manga become silly and plot hole filled, so I really hope they don't continue the anime. I did really like the anime in the beginning, but like any anime longer than 50 or so episodes it began to suffer and decay.

Anyway Avatar is pretty cool, but I have only seen a few episodes since I have no idea what it's program schedule is (and I need DVR)

As long as there's a want for something in the market, a company will step up to fill it. If Sunrise doesn't do it, somebody else will. It's all a matter of profits, and right now, there's alot more people wanting Inuyasha, and many would pay good money for it. Especially these so-called RIFs. And who cares about filler? Naruto's been having about a hundred episodes of it, just so the writer can build somemore depth in his manga. Does that stop fans? NO WAY! They continue to watch and read.

As to Avatar, it's a show that's on Nick, and is considered to be "American Anime". It entails a mythical world where there are 4 nations that represent the 4 elements:Air, Water, Earth and Air. There are certain people from these nations that can manipulate or "bend" their particular element. There is one person out of all the nations that can bend all 4, he or she is called the Avatar. The show involves one such boy, and his adventures with his friends as he tries to end a 100 year war between the fire nation and all the others.
The shows been on for about two years, and the entirety of the first season can be seen on youtube, reruns on tv, or bought on DVD. The second season is now close to its end. I saw one episode and was hooked, I suggest this series to anybody, it's not too adult for kids, but it's not a show that's for the faint of heart either. It has fans ranging from 7 to 37, my own adult, married cousin introduced it to me. If you need to get over your Inuyasha blues, or just want to enjoy a good series, I suggest this show to you.

I'm not sure more Inu episodes will be made, Irene. I'm not sure I'd want more episodes anyway; there is a LOT of filler. The manga has recently gotten really good, but there have been months and months where it was just really dull. I personally am just fine sticking with the manga and discussion groups.

I've never heard of Avatar. I'll check it out.
