Why'd Kags tell Kanna she was already free? Naraku says after that she didn't have a heart, but was that literal? And if it was, when/how did the group figger it out? Or was it just a slip-up in writing?

(sigh) Questions…  (Quote)

Why’d Kags tell Kanna she was already free?

Kagome said that because Kanna was still hanging around, she was encouraging her to leave. IE: "Kagome: What's wrong, Kanna. Get out of here, you're free to go".

Naraku says after that she didn’t have a heart, but was that literal?

Just Naraku barking in the dark. Kanna obviously had feelings but she wasn't "supposed" to.

Now this is mere speculation but Naraku seemed unusually irate this week; I'm thinking that was because Kanna had emotions which was contrary to the way he designed her. His little derogatory rant was basically him pouting since even Kanna, who should have been nothing, went against his will.  (Quote)

I agree Koopa. Naraku thinks the world revolves around him, and his blood is so cold, that I think it's made of liqud nitrogen and his heart (if he has one) is so small, it's on the subatomic level and is made of ice particles. He can't take it when he's not right, so he rants instead to make himself feel bigger.

Oh, by the way, I hate the new management of Youtube. I'm going to have to move to another site like vidlife. I have had 4 vids that have been up for months taken off in 2 days. None of them offensive or using material that thousands of others aren't. Why does Google have to buy everything?! Can't it just stick to searching for stuff?! :(   (Quote)

Of course, I actually liked Naraku this chapter. The more of a bastard he is the more entertaining I find him. >_>  (Quote)

Or found him entertaining for that matter. What an absolutely fucking dull and boring main villain.  (Quote)

You know what's funny, I've made a whole family for him out of characters from other Anime.

Naraku married Dante from FullMetal Alchemist.
They have a son, Orochimaru from Naruto, who disappoints the both of them nonstop.
Naraku's best friends are Rau le Creuset from Gundam Seed, and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7.

(Incedently, Sephiroth is also friends with Sesshoumaru, but the two fraternize seperately of each other.)  (Quote)

Their son can be Pokey Minch from Earthbound.  (Quote)

Orochimaru is the sorriest excuse for a villian I've ever seen in an anime. Itachi can wipe the floor with him. And he looks a lot like Naraku and has the same cowerdice.

Dante and Naraku belong together. Neither cares about human lives and have a bunch of pawns that they use in their overcomplicated plans. Neither likes getting their hands dirty, and hide behind others. Naraku had Kagura, Kanna, Hakudoshi, etc. Dante had Lust, Gluttony, Envy, etc.
They use them until they get out of line, or they've outlived their usefulness. However, they end up having a son who'd rather learn techniques without thinking a plan through. A son who's not half as cruel as they are, but they try to force him to be more dominant. Orochimaru takes after his mother though, moving from one body to another, just like her.  (Quote)

"Orochimaru is the sorriest excuse for a villian I’ve ever seen in an anime."

Naraku takes that award, IMO. Orochimaru is Naraku done right. And I've always found Itachi to be the least interesting of the Akatsuki. I still like him, though.  (Quote)

Naraku is way smarter than Orochimaru. He'll have like 17 back-up plans to Orochimaru's 2. i just keep seeing him in the destruction of konoha arc, and how miserably he failed. Then he goes to Tsunade, promising to get her loved ones back. Naraku would have already ressurected them, then used them as bait. However, they would already be his mind-slaves. (Think Kohaku). And Naraku would have never allowed himself to get his butt beat as bad as Orochimaru did in the 3-way fight.
To me, Orochimaru is not the worst villian out there, but there are many who rank higher. I don't feel the same hate for Orochimaru, that I have for Naraku. Naraku is ten times more cruel and deadly to be around.
Naraku kills his own kids, which he uses as slaves. Orochimaru gets beat down by them (Itatchi, Sasuke, & Naruto, three teens, much younger than Orochi, can take him down in a second.)  (Quote)

Orochimaru keeps me entertained. Naraku doesn't. And we have the Akatsuki to look forward to in Naruto. It's just the same old shit with Naraku.  (Quote)
