Forgive me if the torrent is a little slow this week. I'm home and on a shitty cable connection (as opposed to an awesome 10Mb symmetrical college line).

sometimes randomness can be a bad thing, and sessy sama suddenly becoming a kind and caring brother and saving inuyasha's friends is very random. personally i'd love to see sessy come to miroku and sango aid just to laugh in their faces. miroku would be like," what the hell? kazanna!"

Well, Rin has taught Sesshoumaru compassion, but I don't think it's limited to just her; he's been unusually patient with Kohaku, and has protected him several times, even with Rin out of the picture. Sesshy isn't bursting at the seams with kindness, but I think that he might go a little out of his way to help Inuyasha and co. now — but probably not against a worthless youkai like the bone demon.

Well the recent Fluffette arc blatantly displayed Sessh feeling compassion towards complete strangers so being with Rin has definitely changed him to the very core. Like Shouki said, he's not exactly bursting with kindness, but he's learned what it's like to be powerless and to feel loss. I doubt he would just turn his back if he came across someone in serious trouble.
Inuyasha is a bit of different story though. Personally I think Sessh has been looking out for Inuyasha to a degree, out of respect for their father, ever since he learned about Tessaiga and the effects of Inuyasha's youkai blood. At this point I've little doubt he would go completely out of his way to help but only if it was necessary.
