You can't really have compassion without some level off humility, and being humble doesn't mean you're weak.

Inutaisho gave his life to protect Izayoi and Inuyasha, when he could have just let them go and worry about his own wounds. I mean, he wasn't legally married to Izayoi,and therefore owed her and her child nothing. Especailly being the great dog demon he is. He would have to have been crazy in the eyes of the other demons to risk so much. He was humble and didn't show off, but only used as much force as needed to, to help the people he loved.

He wanted to teach his son that the power he had was not important, but how and why to use is the key.

With the new info given yet again. I think Sesshomaru will find that the Tenseiga is just as powerful as the Tessaiga. Now that he's learned compassion, he now has to learn humility. He has to let his little brother help him. Inuyasha will jump in when his group is getting affected by the Meido Zangetsuha that Shishinki sends out at random. Inu will talk some sense into his brother's head about Rin and what's really important. Sessho, realizing that everything isn't about him, he will pick up the sword again. This time with a complete circle, he and Inuyasha will destroy Shishinki together!

Wow. This chapter and that joke page remind me of a friend of mine in the fandom who jokes that her OTP (one true pairing) is Inuyasha and Tessaiga. And now I'm having these really strange images of Tessaiga giving birth.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew that the brothers would have to merge their swords as a powerful weapon, so for the ultimate weapon to defeat Naraku, I say: both of the swords together, using some sort of diamond-powered Meidou Zangetsuha along with Kagome's special "gift arrow" (does she still have it? can't remember). I'd like to think that Sango, Miroku, and Shippou would have some sort of place in the final blow, too, but they tend to be left in the background, so I won't hold my breath.

As for the "birth" of swords, something tells me that Takahashi forgot some of her earlier conceptions of Tenseiga and Tessaiga, as it is evident in this chapter that something's a bit off…unless she simply forgot to include this little tidbit of info, and she's making it into this "ZOMG SEKRIT POWAR!!1!" thing. O_o
