Yes. I agree with Loggles. Thanks to Sparks for having this site. I came in way behind (I just was introduced to Inuyasha in December) and this site has done wonders for my "catching up"

Great chapter, it was so hilarious!

The look on Naraku's face when he got hit by the Hirakotsu was priceless!! He thought he was so big and bad, and then he's hit and he's speechless! It was so funny!

I like that Sango has made a mature decision dealing with their family's death. She's going to help Kohaku live, whether he wants to or not. She wants to help him work things out.

Also, the part with Jaken was hilarious. Inuyasha steps on Jaken just like his elder brother…wherever he is…

Oh, and I did catch the Yu-gi-oh abridged reference on the joke page. It was super special awesome!

It was really satisfying to see Naraku receive his comeuppance, especially from Sango. It doesn't occur that often (there would not be much of a plot if it did), and the fact that for once it was one of the *girls that was responsible for Naraku's smackdown, made this chapter all the more delectable.

*Exempting Kikyou, of course. But then, I am not sure if you can truly classify a resurrected corpse as a 'girl'. Theologically and theoretically speaking, couldn't Kikyou be considered an 'it' as well? Not her soul of course, just the body…

Anyway, when Sango hit Naraku with Hirakotsu, yeah, his face was just priceless!!! Heh, it was sooo funny to see that scene!^^ Muhahahaaaaa…!!! xD
But, I DO hope that Kagome will be able to purify Kohaku's shard and maybe he and Sango might be finally able to clear things up… :/

Hmm… and I finally got my answer as to where is Sesshoumaru! xD

1) Kohaku needs to just be finished off. I'm sorry, but seriously… He's the walking dead already. Just put him out of his misery so he'll stop trying to kill his sister and be controlled by Naraku for the 100000th time. That plot got old 300 chapters ago.
2) So in the end SANGO is the one who can hurt and/or kill Naraku? … WHAT A TWIST! [And it makes everyone else seem that much more useless!]
3) Why is Shippo there again?
4) Naraku is the WORST. VILLIAN. EVER.

Okay, I'm done. But I don't have many high hopes for the way this series is going to end. Is it REALLY suppose to end at chapter 500? Or did I misread something?

In one anime forum there was thread "what anime character would you create". I don't know how mine is going to look, but for sure he would have the super power to prevent villains from escaping.

Wow, when Sango said, " I know Kohaku is avoiding me, it is pretty obvious. Kohaku, I don't care if you were possessed by Naraku, it was still you who killed Father and I'm going to keep you alive whether you like it or not! ", my mouth dropped open. ( basically anyways ) I believe this chapter has shown Sango become stronger when it comes to the Kohaku issue and she also had an upgrade. This chapter has definitely made me less of a Sango hater, though kohaku is still pretty far up on the characters I hate list.

Thanks for the great scans. I got into Inuyasha waaaaay back when it started, then lost interest when the plot seemed to have no end in sight. Now, 10 years later, I can catch up on what I missed. I have mixed feelings – I hope it ends soon, and I hope it continues.

Also, I love One Pound Gospel. In fact I read the series before Inuyasha started. If the final chapters were up I would be even more grateful!

I don't understand what is left for Kohaku… Wasn't it made pretty obvious at the get-go that if the shard left his neck he dies? If that's the case what is there left for this guy? No one wants to come to grips with his death and no one is taking the responsibility of finishing him off. It's a touchy subject in the comic but Takahashi can't tiptoe around it indefinitely. Also… I am still amazed that she hasn't gotten tired or wary of using the same exact getaway scene for naraku and his cronies… (what?! somehow I am gettin my butt handed to me!…better bounce!…in a cloud of cheese! >…..

Me too, I really want this Kohaku thing resolved ASAP. Is he going to live or die? I felt like that should've been resolved in this chapter. Sango simply saying "I'm gonna force him to live" doesn't cut it. Honestly, if RT jumps right into the sword thing with Sesshomaru w/o resolving Kohaku's life first, I'm going to be extremely pissed. RT has a number of issues that need to be cut down. Why not start with this one so that we can all see an end in sight.

There's always the possibility of his part being resolved right before the last battle. It depends on hi own decision or where 499 leads.

I really don't get some Inuyasha fans. For ages now I've seen a lot of people saying "oh man, I hope Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and Sesshoumaru get an upgrade before the Naraku battle!"
Then when RT does just that, they complain? If anything it shows that things are coming to an end. RT's trying her best to resolve everything in the best way..give her a break.

So…another damn upgrade, huh? Well, it figures. Everyone's got to get some sort of upgrade before the big finale, and here's Sango's, finally. I wonder what Kagome's will be…well, she can aim better now. Heh. I won't even bother being curious about Shippou because he's about as useful as poor Rin, really, and Miroku has been reduced to "omfg gonna die gonna die" lately. Still…won't complain too much because I still read it and liked it. Thanks again, Starks!

Oh, funny comic, by the way. And inspiration struck me as well this time when I saw the Inuyasha-Jaken-foot panel. The result was this.

(I just remember the tidbit from a few chapters ago where Inuyasha made that remark about how she shouldn't leave the bow behind because she and it are "connecting" or something.)

Also, Rin is MORE useful than Shippo. At least Rin has a job that involves the plot. Without Rin, Sessho would be the same evil guy he was in the beginning. She has helped his character develop drasticly.

Shippo…no such thing. His only real job is for comic releif and "cute furry creature/kid" requirement. He really has no other use what so ever.

You misunderstand me, I think. I'm not dissing Rin here — in fact, she's one of my favorites in the book. She is useful in moving the plot along, but she's not very useful by the whole "powerful magic/weapon" concept that the groups have. Though I suppose it could be said that Rin's strengths lie elsewhere, in other things.

However, yes, she — and just about everyone else — is more useful than Shippou. I hate to admit it, but lately, Shippou is the one I like the least, and if Naraku were to make fox stew from him, I don't know if I'd bat an eyelash. :/ But that's just me.

Your post made me remember a question I've had for very long long time.

In both anime and manga we see all characters hunting for the last shard, battle for in in the grave world and so on.

However If we can count right, currently there must be 1 more shard left, despite the one in Kohaku.
I'm talking about the shard that is going to end up in the Cursed Mask and after 500 years to be collected by Inuyasha&Kagome. Indeed that shard is already in the Shikon, but it is the perfect one to support Kohaku`s life (for about 100 years or so

Haven't been posting because everyone's just been saying what I think myself, so I imagined it was pretty pointless. Just wanted to come on and tell you guys (not relevent to the chapter at all, but something to think about) that I drew that bacon scene…. or about half of it. I've done a page through a lot of procrastination, and I think it turned out semi-good. I don't know where to post it where anyone who's interested can see it though, and I'm a little hesitant about starting an account on DeviantArt, considering I've heard some pretty annoying things about it.
