I compared your scans to previous scans from Anonymous, using Windows picture and Fax Viewer on a 17" monitor. From hints here and there it looks like humans with strong spiritual power are able to use the power of Shikon no Tama (Naraku inflicted deadly wound on Kikyo in order to make her use the Shikon to save herself, but she choose death instead, I'm not very sure if this is manga only, anime only or in both, but it makes sense).</p><p> Now if Kagome poweres weren't sealed she could have easily detected the presence of the Shikon and even started to use its power. I didn't like it.

Indeed there could be seen more details, mainly in the dithering of the characters. However as whole images look more grayish and noisy.
