Inuyasha v53 ch524 "Awakening" (Mezame)

犬夜叉 第524話 「目覚め

While he is asleep, the corrupted power of the shard forces Kohaku to relive the events of the day where he killed his father and companions.  Magatsuhi figures that even if he does wake up, his heart will be shattered.

Kagome sees a faint speck of light within Naraku's tentacles.  It's the light Kikyou left in Naraku's Shikon no Tama.  Kagome thinks that because of the effects of that light, Naraku shouldn't be able to touch Kohaku's shard.  However, the tentatcles try to take the shard without getting purified.  Inuyasha and Sango come running in and cut them. Magatsuhi: "Kikyou's spell only works on Naraku… meaning that it does not work on me.  When my corrupted shard and Naraku's jewel become one… The light Kikyou left… will be blotted out by the darkness of Magatsuhi.  We win." (And soon Kohaku's heart… will shatter…)

Inside Kohaku's heart: While Kohaku continues condemning himself for killing his father and companions, a light breaks in.  At the head of that light is the figure of Sango nursing Miroku while bearing her own wounds. Kohaku: (I… injured Ane-ue again… Houshi-sama tried to save me as well… Ane-ue… Ane-ue must be in love with Houshi-sama…)

Sango: "Kohaku, help us." Kohaku is surprised by the sudden call. Sango: "Help us.  This man… and me…" Kohaku: (Help you… me…?!  I… can do that?) Sango: "You can do it, there's still time, Kohaku…"

Kohaku awakens.  His shard is erupting with light.

Note: Chapter 525 will have color pages!

I swear, Sango's got a part in her family history with the jewel shard, maybe through Midoriko. Who knows, I might be making too much into it.

This is exciting! I can't wait to see what'll happen. Sad that it seems to be coming to the last battle, but exciting because it is!

Ok, I need to get back to my paper

Wow, Kohuku heard his sister call for help and woke up!!! Kohuku may survive after all:) I am also sad to see the manga end but I can't wait to see what they are going to do to Naraku, Magatsuhi and Byakuya. I hope they make the rest of the manga into an anime.  I would love to see the events that have take place in the manga in motion.:)

Well it certainly looks like the beginning of the end of the Manga.  I also will be sad to see it end but am excited to see how it will all come out in the end.  Despite some of the things that have been said about the anime it was always beautiful to look at and a pleasure to watch. For a very western person like me it was always so exotic, another world. I am looking at the newly released forth season right now and it is mesmerizing.  It would be nice if they made the ending into an anime maybe a movie or just a season of episodes.  I guess we can only hope.

if it is over then im a little disappointed  i really wanted to see everyone have the final showdown in kagome's time period or at least have them visit the future just once …. i love the ch.  when there in the present its so much fun and i would of like to see what the others would think, said, and do once there. that would of been great taste of life ch.

Soka, The end is near eh? So everyone says, I just hope Sesshoumaru-sama will be a part of Naraku's death. And I think that not only Sango's wish, But the Proper wish for the Shacred Jewel must be preformed before this whole thing is over^^ Ja, until the next chapter!

I will be really sad when this ends *crouches in corner crying* but now its either Naraku or Miroku and if Miroku dies she'll need more then a couple of bodygaurds to keep all the angry fangirls away. If Naraku dies then whose our bad-guy? I prey it doesn't end but eventually I will drift off into sad exceptance…. *sighs* OH WELL now this is going to sound really random but who would win in a battle between Byakuya and Kagura? the world may never know…………………………..

I hate to think this, but Kohaku may end up dying, like using his new untainted shard to save Miroku. I wonder just what RT is thinking, how is Kohaku going to save Sango and Miroku?

it makes it look like you are going to see a day in the life of Sango and Kohaku before the incident
