First time posting — my sincere compliments to the site managers.   It made my day when I found this site.

That being said… I can't get over how tight the action has been these past few issues.    So many subtle clues laid out along the story line are now being connected.    Kagome and InuYasha must have huge roles pending, especially Kagome once Magatsuhi's seal is lifted.  Of course, Sesshoumaru's involvement was a must — that's been hinted at throughout the plot — and, as Totosai said, only he can defeat the spirit of the Jewel.   Yes, Sesshoumaru fan here — I love characters that develop, and he's certainly done that over the years (in his own stoic, uncomunicative fashion, lol).

Poor Kohaku — I'm hoping that he might be spared somehow, for Sango's sake at least.  However, I'm preparing myself for the worst.   We already know that the Tenseiga can't help him, but… hmm, should I voice my theory on who might?    And, what about Miroku?  Gad, don't forget about our houshi.  Naraku's death would free him of the wind tunnel, but what about the poison? (again… hmm)

Right.  Enough speculations.   Brilliant job, folks.   Keep up the good work.

If you are thinking Sessh's mom I doubt that she will reappear in the Manga. According to her, Tenseiga can't save Kohaku because he has already been brought back to life, which doesn't really make sense to me. If Rin were to die, she could be brought back using a Jewel Shard (never would happen), because the Jewel Shard's really dont bring people back to life in the permanent sense, it simply seems to bind their soul to the shard and body (and can be done so an unlimited number of times). Since, removing the shard causes death, I dont really see how this can be counted as bringing someone back to life – and I definitely dont see why it has anything to do with the powers of Tenseiga. I can understand there being a one-ressurection limit with Tenseiga, but I don't think that should have anything to do with other methods. Seems like another half-baked idea of Rumiko to try to add suspense since the last several chapters wouldnt be a big deal now that Sessh is 'good' and would easily bring Kohaku back to life. That would have completely killed all the turmoil around his being the last shard. (They remove the jewel shard, Kohaku goes back to being dead, Tenseiga brings him back – would have made the fight for the last shard a lot less interesting). If the meidou stone could bring Rin back to life exactly once (but never again) eventhough tenseiga had already done it, then tenseiga's powers shouldn't be tied into the jewel shard's. Anyone agree on that?

O and about the poison – the scars are not lethal until they reach his heart, so no more windtunnel means no more sucking in poison = no more scar advancement = Miroku lives.

 P.S. Schools in japan must be really slow – 12 years and Kagome still hasn't graduated… 625 chapters, at the very least shouldn't a year have passed by now?

No, a reappearance by Sesshoumaru's mother had never occurred to me.   I agree – I doubt we'll see her, or the Meidou stone, again.   She did say, though, that one whose life was held by a Jewel shard couldn't be revived by the Tenseiga — though she did not elaborate on why (guess we know where the dog demon gets his verbosity).  Presumeably, the reason will be revealed soon.

I'm very curious to see just what powers have been 'sealed' within Kagome — I was under the impression that, thanks to the Jewel, she's never yet had a chance to show her full potential.   And, of course, the series is titled 'InuYasha' — there must be something earthshattering coming up for the boy.

i think miroku is out of the picture right now since he can't use the wind tunnel anymore..it'd be useless if he went to try and battle without using it, so i think he'll live by the end of all this. i really doubt he'll appear out of nowhere and sacrafice his life by trying to suck naraku in again because i think killing naraku is a thing that kagome and inuyasha would take care of if this were the big finale.

in battle for them two. they're both big characters and kagome hasn't
really done much since her powers are still missing. so i'm looking
forward to seeing both of them step it up.

on the other hand though, i still don't think kohaku will live. there's only so much that the tenseiga can do, and he's already been revived once. don't get me wrong, i really don't want kohaku to die, but no matter how i look at it, his chances of survival are pretty low.

Now that the evil twisn are dead, it seems like everyone already possesses the tools they need to destroy Naraku, without even the power ups of Sango, Miroku, and Sesshomaru or without Kagome fully unleashing her powers (beyond her previous levels at least, not the super-repressed state of now). Kagome's arrows have come close to destroying Naraku ever since the start of the anime, leaving him in a disembodied particle form – which has always managed to escape at the last second. Never was this more clear then in the border between worlds when Inuyasha used his adamant barrage to break the cool-powered-up naraku's (not this gay blob we have now) shield, and then Kagome used Kikyo's arrow which had been rubbed in Onigumo's grave soil to obliterate his body, whose dust particles then escaped the border between worlds by use of the connection to eviltwin #1's shield. No more evil twins = no more magical transportations. The problem here being to repeat this, Kikyo's powers are needed to be embued into the arrow along with the dirt – but Naraku has already made it clear that he fears Kagome bow, according to the priestess -bc of the strong spiritual auro eminating from it (which belongs to Kikyo). Thus, the original arrow could be replicated in a sense. But there is the whole dust kinda of just floating away like it did the first time Kagome ever shot him leading to Naraku first remaking his body (with the help of Kikyo freeing the chimeira body). Back on track – now since Miroku cant suck up these dust particles which always just blow away since they still have shouki in them (unless they were purified completely by the arrow which cant be done at her current level). However, here is where the whole Meidou Arc comes in, which would now be able to sucks up these remnant pieces of Naraku into the Meidou, effectively casting him into Hell (with or without a completed Shikon no Tama depending on the rate of its completion and if its wish is needed or not) – from which there is no escape without Tenseiga. Hence, Naraku could have easily been killed off several chapters ago (or at a stretch at least right now) with the powers already possessed since the end of the Meidou Arc and the Preistess Arc which explained the bow's powers. It goes like this 1- Inuyasha breaks open Naraku's shields using Adamant Barage (although we havent seen him using the shield lately) (or at the alternative scenario – which implements power ups) Sango's Hiraksos is used to break up his body's shell). 2- Kagome fires an purifying arrow (at her average spiritual strength) which has been rubbed in Onigumo's grave, and fired with Kikyo's bow which eminates with Kikyo's spiritual powers thereby combining these elements together – powerful enough to completely disintegrate Naraku's body into that dust particle form. 3- Instead of letting the dust float off to reform later (and it is no longer attached to the twins' shields), Inuyasha fires off a Meidou to which sucks Naraku into the abyss of Hell there all dead(alternatively maybe miroku can help with this assuming Hirakos has nuetralized enough of the poison). So my point is that Naraku could be killed without their power ups, although the power ups could be fit into the storyline anyways – for example Sessh using both his swords to kill Magatsuhi in body and spirit, fully unleashing Kagome's powers, giving her full control of the bow = stronger arrow. And maybe naraku tries to fly off from the meidou which is where miroku comes in and sucks him towards the meidou or a part escapes the meidou which naraku sucks up assuming the medicine in Hirakos has nuetralized the shouki. A lot of different scenarios are possible if you try to fit in the powerups, but if you ignore them its obious naraku could have been killed a long time ago without the help of these power ups

I agree with Red-Miko in the sense that I wish Kagome weren't so useless right now. Same with Miroku. I'd really like to see how powerful Kagome becomes after her full power is unleashed, and how this will affect her. And if Kohaku dies and Sango tries to commit suicide again, I'm going to be mad.
