Absolutely brilliant! I think that the end of Inuyasha will be one of the most beautiful… I can't wait for this. I now hope that the anime will continue untill the proper ending… Continuation of the anime or some good OVAs will be perfect for me.

Oh, thankies, I was gonna be mad if the last thing we saw of Naraku was just a cool-looking gargantuan spider… Yeah, I still have the feeling someone's gonna sacrifice him/herself here… At least it can't be Kohaku after all this time, (and that sorta makes it harder for Sango to be that person too) So, I have the feeling Miroku of all people… Sango  can't because she's worked too hard for Kohaku, and now he's alive and safe. Sesshomaru probably can't because without him Rin & Jaken would be sitting ducks to any and every hungry youkai that comes around… Yeah, I hope they start a new Inuyasha to continue the manga's story…

that will  give inuyasha a brand new sword formed with bakusaiga and tenseiga +tessaiga.+100 ATT;+100+MP; (perhaps i m playing a lot of RPG).

And that will make seshh the coolest character ever (as if he isnt already).

Personally, i think Kagome gonna totally demolish Naraku with a huge explosion. Which would be cool, but probably wont happen. Im just itching to see her powers, cause she was getting looked down on before. And i love kagome<3 And about the killing off thing? i have the WEIRDEST feeling its going to be Inuyasha, dont want it to happen but its nagging me that it will. It would be a tragic ending though right? D: Either him or Miroku ;_;

I don't think it would be a step down for Sesshomaru to join Inu's group, in fact it is probably inevitable unless he dies.  I certainly hope Sesshomaru does not die but it is a possibility infact almost anyone in this series (including Inuyasha) could die at the end except, I think, Kagome.  She is the one character who most probably has to survive because the entire saga is somewhat through her eyes and she does really represent us all.  I know what I would like to see happen whether or not I'll get my wish is anyone's guess.  I suppose we all have our views on what will happen.  Hopefully what we get will be satisfying.

I don't think Sesshomaru has joined Inuyasha's group nor will he. Right now they just have the same goal – to kill Naraku. I firmly believe once Naraku is defeated Sesshomaru will more go off on his own with Rin and Jaken in tow (if he's still alive that is). If he dies, Rin will join Inuyasha's group, most likely, and Jaken will go back to leading his little toady army  

I agree with IOLANTHESONG though - Kagome is really the only character guaranteed to make it out of the final battle alive. Everyone else is up for grabs, though I really hope none of them meet a grisly end…except maybe Kohaku. He's disposable as far as I'm concerned since he doesn't really add anything to the story.

Yeah, i too think Kagome will pull something big off… I mean the chick hasn't done anything but state the obvious, get kidnapped, and play are the role in one twisted love triangle. Miroku's confession is going to be his last… He might also take Naraku down, with one final blow… I mean suck Naraku up when its killing Miroku… I guess i just want this to be over…

But Langus is right, Kagome is the only one that is going to make it out alive… the rest are disposable characters… OH GOD… this ending might actually suck

I think Inuyasha is going to be the one to die.  He sacrifices himself to kill naraku.  He gets revenge for Kikyo, sango and miroku live a happy life, kagome is forced back to her own time and she has to be with a guy from her own time.

 If you think about it she really can't be with Inuyasha, they are from 2 different era's. 

 the thought of inuyasha surviving and living in her time crossed my mind but i don't think that will happen.  I think Inuyasha is going to die in the end and be with Kikyo in spirit or something.

 think about it, Inuyasha, although a likely candidate to die…he has matured since kikyo, since the beginning of the anime Kagome has changed his heart, although he can never forget Kikyo, he's begun to "love" im not sure if thats too much of a term yet, but he's grateful nonetheless for kagome's kindness. I think it would be a shame if RT killed him now.

Sesshomaru too, hes surpassed his father, and learned to accept humans in a small sense of the word, seeing as Rin too has become important to him, kohaku too. I'm not saying he likes humans, but he's begun to be more tolerant of a few of them. I hope he doesnt die

Miroku…hmm really seems he may die, only one or two more uses of the Wind Tunnel and he'll die eh? well its gonna be a climatic end, but I think he'll survive, what was the point of bringing Miroku into the manga, the whole cursed hand, if he was not in the end going to beat Naraku and live?

Sango, man theres a tragic story there. But I think she'll pull through, Miroku and her get a place, and live happily ever after.

I got a wierd feeling that we are about to find out that the Shikon Jewel itself is the enemy. Just think about it. How everything started with Midoriko (I can't remember but I think that's how you spell it. Correct me if I'm wrong) and then how Naraku was born and why. Plus there is the fact that the jewel manipulates everyone it seems. Heck, everybody wants it and when they get it they turn bad. Miroku pointed this out to InuYasha early on remember. Plus now we have what seems to sound like an eternal battle and "the fate with the Shikon-no-tama".

    Midoriko fought a huge and great demon. She and the demon somehow consumed each other because of thier powers and created the jewel. Remember that the jewel contains both Midoriko and the demons souls inside of it. The situation with InuYasha's group and Naraku is very similar. Especially judging by what was said at the end. I'm thinking that maybe the jewel has a mind of it's own and it wants to increase in power by absorbing more powerful souls. I could see Naraku and InuYasha being trapped in the giant spider and then suddenly they all turn to stone and then years latter there is a giant spider stone with a hole in it (where the jewel escaped to start again) I could be way off, and in fact, I probably am. But it just seems like something like that may happen. but who knows.

Starks, I thought the information about the IST was really fascinating.  As I was reading it I was thinking "wouldn't that be a great way to purify the jewel and ultimately purify Magatsuhi and in doing this take down Naraku." I do hope RT uses a bit of this as the ending as it is so grounded in culture. Thank you for that great bit of information it is always a pleasure!!!!  Hmmm still thinking on this one !

Guh. After that whole episode with Inu giving Kikyou a last kiss it wouldn't surprise me if the whole 'Inu dies and lives in the spiritual world with Kikyou' theory is correct.

Yeah yeah, I understand their bond, but really. You'd think after 500 chapters the damn dog would think about Kagome for once.

I don't think the jewel is completely evil… I mean even though Kikyo thought she was using it for good, she was still using it for her own purpose… to be normal..Kagome might just wish the jewel to be gone, or for it never to exsist or something, and everything would be good, everything returns to normal, and she can never return to Inuyasha's time, and Inuyasha and the others don't even remember her, i mean come on… Some part of Inuyasha nags him forever, the part of him that actually cared for Kagome never actually disappears… But ya, the true ending might actually suck… RT has built this story up a lot and i mean wouldn't be funny if the ending just blew… LOL… BRING IT ON

See the problem is; Kagome is Kikyo kinda like the Daili Lama and the Avatar.  If Inuyasha dies and goes to live with Kikyo in the afterlife well, she's going to leave for a while to be Kagome isn't she?  Of course then again when Kagome returns to her time after all is done and the mission is completed (because you know, Kikyo came back to finish the job on Naraku) perhaps she will meet Inuyasha's reincarnation, that would be interesting.  Perhaps, she'll find Inuyasha asleep in a mountain waiting to be reawakened by love's first kiss (or second Kiss come to think of it). Well, we can only wait and wonder.

The Shikon Jewel is not completely evil.Naraku claims that everything is him.  So that means Rin is apart  of Naraku, right? So that means she is the good that exist in Naraku. No hate in her heart.
