Sesshoumaru hacks at the ball of flesh Inuyasha escaped into bare-handed. Quite the grunt work. Most likely because he can't use Bakusaiga.

Sesshoumaru: "Inside this ball of flesh… I can smell them! Magatsuhi and Inuyasha are still close!"

While Sesshoumaru keeps doing all the work, Kagome pesters him.

Kagome: "You can do it, Sesshoumaru! You can beat Magatsuhi without hurting Inuyasha!"

Kagome: "It's what Naraku said when we came in here… 'What the Shikon no Tama desires of you is your souls. Your hearts that hate me… your anger… and despair.'"

Kagome: "If two brothers battle each other, it'll be just as Naraku wanted."

Whether or not he heard Kagome's appeals is unsure, but Sesshoumaru finally breaks through the lump of flesh.

Sesshoumaru: "We're through!"

On the other side of the opening, Inuyasha lies in wait. He rushes at Sesshoumaru without a moment's hesitation. Sesshoumaru accepts his challenge. Conscientious of this, Sesshoumaru calls out to Kagome.

Sesshoumaru: "You stay over there! You'll get in the way of the fight!"

Both begin the fight bare-handed. In his youkai state, Inuyasha to have better reaction time than usual, and manages to tear a part of Sesshoumaru's sleeve.

Sesshoumaru: "Hmph. You're only more dexterous than usual because you've transformed into a youkai in mind and body."

Then he remembers what Kagome was pestering him about earlier. Even though it seemed like he wasn't listening, I guess he was.

Sesshoumaru: "Two brothers battling each other will be just what Naraku wants… huh. While that may be the case, taking that into consideration will only prolong this battle… in that case I'll settle it in one blow!"

And so he draws Tenseiga. However, Tenseiga is a special sword that cannot cut living bodies. Inuyasha catches the blow bare-handed. Magatsuhi uses Inuyasha an attempts to break Tenseiga.

At this time, Kagome, who has been watching things unfold, makes her move.

Kagome: "I have to give him Tessaiga. I need to get near Inuyasha…"

So that she can return Inuyasha to normal, Kagome tries to climb down the wall of flesh so that she can get near Inuyasha and give him Tessaiga. But, her hand slips and she falls.

Kagome: "Aah!"

Sesshoumaru reacts to this.

Sesshoumaru: "You idiot!"

He's probably thinking "Don't do something stupid!" But somehow, Kagome saves herself from falling.

Magatsuhi realizes what Kagome is doing.

Magatsuhi: "It's too late now. I have control over every corner of Inuyasha's mind… Even with Tessaiga's power, he won't return to normal."

However, Kagome calls out to Inuyasha.

Kagome: "Inuyasha, don't lose! Inuyasha!!"

The Inuyasha in question, however…

Inuyasha: "The scent of… Kagome's blood…"

Inside his heart, he remembers wounding Kagome, losing Kagome, and what Naraku said to him.

Then while trying to get close to Inuyasha, Kagome falls from the lump of flesh.

Kagome: "Aah!"

Seeing this, Sesshoumaru curses without thinking.

Sesshoumaru: "Tch…"

Surprisingly, Inuyasha reacts to the falling Kagome faster than Sesshoumaru, and Inuyasha shakes off Sesshoumaru and goes to where Kagome is.

Inuyasha: "Kagome! Kagome is alive!"

Oh, did Inuyasha return to his senses of his own power? It sure seems that way.
