I think that it won't end in 550, because we have 10 chapter each volume, ahd the last chapter in each one ends in 8. Probably, it'll finish at 548 or 558, but i think that 6 chapters aren't enough to end the story (nor 16, if we talk about Rumiko-sensei… XD).

I don't understand why some IY fans want the manga to end so abruptly. I want Rumiko to take her time finishing it up. So that in the end, the final picture will be just perfect. I hope she's not feeling rushed by any Japanese fans or publishers. Personally, I wouldn't mind if she went another 100 chapters. But I know there'd be a couple of mobs waiting outside her doorstep if that were to happen…

We all love the manga. But seeing the characters actually moving with all the sounds and effects is just such a thrill!! It's fun seeing it come ALIVE. You know? Don't get me wrong, I adore the manga as much as the next IY freak and none of us really want the manga to end, …but after Naraku is finally defeated and everything is settled with all the main characters(I mean everything. INUKAG!) things might just come to a close. Or who knows? Rumiko might create something so fantabulous it'll be necessary to keep it going. Whatever it is, I'm in it for the long haul.

This comic won't end until past 600 chapters gauranteed!  You can place your bets right here and now.  Takahashi is the progenator of Ranma 1/2.  She fuddles that ending and the fan outcry was immense.  She has appologized for that (well…at least recognized her imperfect ending) and she has stated that she plans to set a record for the Inuyasha manga.  If this is to be belived then she will have to contend with another manga writed who has been writing since 1986!!!  BELIEVE IT!  Miura is a contender.  If she has a hope of surpassing this other writer then she will have to continue writing at least another year. 

     For those who wish this manga will end soon I have only this to say to you:  Abandon all hope.  I have been reading this manga for years now and every time it seems as if Naraku will be deafeated for sure Takahashi pulls a fast one on me.  Even though the shikon no tama is complete does not, at least in my eyes, mean this story is coming to a conclusion shortly.

    On the other hand…even if Naraku is defeated this may mean very little.  The post Naraku storyline may take many chapters to relieze…if takahashi decides to throw us a bone at all once naraku is vanquished.  The way I see it is that this comic has the potential longevity of at least another year for certain.  Within reasonble limits any sensible person would say that, given the circumstances that the characters are in, this manga will conclude by years end.

At this point, I'd just like Naraku to be dead, FINALLY, and see what happens to the characters. Well….actually, I'd more like to see the characters end up the way I'd like them to. I'd be so upset if for whatever reason there was no InuKag or someone crucial to the plot DIES. (Miroku or something awful like that). I just don't know how she could screw it up at this point: everyone's rooting for basically the same outcome, we'd just like to see it officially written down by the creator.

As for if this is the end….I really doubt it. If Naraku gets away again, I'll just be throwing up my hands and crying Uncle. As long as this epic battle has gone on, who would enjoy it if the enemy eventually got away after all?

Tomo-chan: I don't have a wig yet, but, I will wear the costume. At the beginning of the school year I got permission from my teachers to wear costumes every once in a while, you have to realize that I am in middle school and I have connections with the most awesome teachers.

I want to work on my 6-1/2 foot long Tetsusaiga! During the three days of the Con. I will wear the Inuyasha costume for two of the days and I will have so much fun with the Tetsusaiga. I recently realized that I will most likely be the only InuYasha cosplayer at the Con.! Yay, more reason for me to get my grades up!
