Inuyasha Hybrid Movie

Filed under: Random — Starks at 7:16 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2008

From Patches:

The Inuyasha Hybrid Movie was an extra included on the Japanese release of the Movie 4 DVD.  For some reason, the English release did not include it.  The "Movie" is a 8-minute summary of the 50 or so chapters following the end of the TV anime using manga stills, narrated by Yamaguchi Kappei (Inuyasha) and Yukino Satsuki (Kagome), complete with music and effects.  It contains stuff about Mouryoumaru, Byakuya, Dragon-scaled Tessaiga, and the deaths of Hakudoushi and Kagura.

I subtitled it myself and stuck it on YouTube a while ago, but YouTube decided to take it down.  So, I decided to make a torrent available instead, for those who want to see it:

Inuyasha Hybrid Movie

Enjoy.  ^_^*

What exactly is a torrent. Please excuse my ignorance but I fear I am from another generation and not quite up to date on the computer. I'm learning but it is a slow process.

I wish I could enjoy, but I don't know what a torrent is or how to use it…

*cracks computer savvy knuckles*

Okay everyone, a torrent is basically a file(s) that you download from someone else's computer.

To download them, you need to get yourself a torrent program. If you use Google these can be easily found online (they are free – don't pay for one!) Personally I use one called utorrent but I've used bittorrent before too and it's pretty good.

Once you've got a torrent program on your computer, click the link Patches/Starks provided, save the torrent file to your computer, open your new torrent program, click on wherever it says "add a new torrent" and select the torrent file you downloaded from Starks/Patches.

You should see the download start up right away. Depending on your connection speed torrents can either be really slow or really fast. This one seems to be moving along at a pretty good pace though. Torrents are a greaty way to download entire anime series, manga, or movies relatively quickly so I highly recommend getting a torrent program. It always comes in handy ;)

I hope that helps some of you out :)

I downloaded the torrent, but all I get is the audio. I don't know how to make it so I can see the video….

I'm really not the most computer savvy individual…lol

You need a codec.

If you're running Windows, download the Combined Community Codec Pack.

Or you can download a media playing program called DivX. You can get it for free. That's what I'm using to watch the movie and it's playing just fine.

I used the torrent program Vuse to download It and Divx or Media Player 10 to play It, As to the Codec Google for the "Cole2k Media Codec Pack". Of course since the avi was made for Japan and not for Here, [sarcasm]I wonder why?[/sarcasm] the Audio was in Japanese only as far as I can tell, But for an avi file It plays ok, So thanks for the download Starks.

That was so wonderful!! I really enjoyed all of it…the music^-^…and the fantastic Japanese voice actors were amazing!! -Happy sigh-

Starks, thanks for telling us that Mac needed Transmission…that was really helpful…and it downloaded in about 5 minutes, so that was pretty awesome too! Oh, and thanks so much Langus! You're "savvy"(ahaha) instructions were helpful as well!!

Well, I really recommend downloading the torrent to anyone who hasn't yet.
Sayonara! ^-^

I just want to reiterate that the CCCP is the best codec pack for anime (on Windows) because it was *gasp* designed for anime and was created by the brightest minds within the fansub community.

For Mac OS and Linux, the ffmpeg library built into MPlayer is the authoritative codec solution.

I also want to make it known to everyone that VLC (on any OS platform) is a terrible video solution for anime. The internal codecs and libraries it uses are incredibly outdated and the player simply fails at rendering styled softsubs. It is for this reason that many fansub groups insert code into their MKV releases so that they can't be played in VLC.

@ Starks: I use the codec that I use since I run XP x64 here as It works wonderfully, And what shady codec packs are You talking about?

I do like what You do here though, I was just trying to help a noob out, If You don't want My help I guess I could go away and just wait for another site to post what You've done here as I've got lots of time.

Joker, I didn't mean to belittle your help. Believe me, it's more than welcomed here.

I was just expressing my opinion on other codec packs (K-Lite Codec Pack, Vista Codec Pack, etc.) that, through my research and past experience as an encoder for a fansub groups, had found them to be detrimental to a system's health due to the needless redundancy and bloat.

I apologize for coming off as an ass in the process.

As for VLC, it's sufficient for hardsubbed AVI files.

I don't think the anime will be returning, but according to Wikipedia, a company or two is interested in summing up the rest of InuYasha in a couple of OVAs after the manga is completed. I think it's sad, as I'm sure that another anime would do well.. the last one seemed pretty stable, despite slow progress and such. But OVAs are good, too – especially since they seem to be a little condensed themselves. (:

First time user of uTorrent or any torrent program for that matter. I downloaded uTorrent, saved the torrent file to my computer, selected add torrent, opened it to download…and nothing is happening. The downloaded amount is still at 0.0%. The WIFI I am using is very fast, so I don't think thats it. If anyone can help with setting my connection on uTorrent I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Not quite sure what is going on, so if someone could help, that would be great!

Inuyasha_Lover & Yukkari: Remove/delete the file from utorrent and try downloading it again (clicking the torrent link above) a pop-up box should then appear and ask what program you want to open the file with…just select utorrent from the list if it isn't already selected. Click "OK" on the box that appears from utorrent.

Starks:  I haven't watched anime on my computer for quite a while so I realize my knowledge in that department is severely outdated; however, VLC Player is hardly "shady" and is, in general, a decent 'fast and dirty' way to get digital files to play that wouldn't otherwise play correctly due to codec problems.

The Inuyasha Hybrid Movie is included also in the Italian edition of Inuyasha movie 4 dvd edition.

It's called "videomanga".

Thanks Starks. For the Hybrid Movie.

@Wren – as of currently its still up in the air as talk about Viz continuing the RAW's. So far not much has been said as of yet since a few months ago in 07 with the interview with one of the main people who worked on the first half of the episodes (1 – 167). Still nothing is going to be said either until the Manga is 100% done. or when the Manga is actually dead ending. But as everyone knows. The Manga can easily take a side step and go a other direction after this is all done with Naraku

Do you think we can see that on Animation before 2009, by Sunrise ?
