omg! Can't wait for the epilogue. I hope that Rumiko will give there solution to the problem of Inuyasha living way longer than Kagome. Sad thought of Kagome getting older and died while Inu is still fine is somehow confusing for me. And I'm mad that she forgot about it in the last chapter. They won't last forever god dammit.

This is wonderful news! I was missing my the habit of getting emails and checking this website all the time. It's nice to know that I'll be checking back again. Please Starks, keep us updated on this and anything new having to do with InuYasha and Takahashi's new stories. Oh and please try hard to get scans of this new volume.

I found this video clip on YouTube.com today and I do not recognize the clip at all. It looks to be the same quality as the InuYasha movies, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. So maybe someone knows something I don't. Here is the link, click here.

Wow, I did not recognize any of the footage from the clip. So was it just a promotion for the anime on t.v. in general or was it something special? And since you said it was posted in 2000, I take it that means it's old news. So where did that footage in the video come from? I've seen every episode made so far and I own all the movies, so I don't think I'm too crazy…but if you catch me being crazy here I'll give you props for calling me out.

What website would you recommend going to for the lastest and quickest updates on InuYasha information? I'm talking new episode releases, movies releases, and their dates both in the U.S. and around the world. Personally, I'd be happy if things stay just the way they are ending-wise.  I know this rankles some fans because they want a "spelled-out" ending, but thankfully, the Japanese haven't yet fallen prey to the Disney solutions to stories where the bad guy plummets from some high place, and the good guys have to get married, have kids, blah, blah, blah.  Much better for fans to imagine the varied endings they want.  Who knows, maybe Takahashi will come back to the story later to pick up Sesshomaru's story more.   In any case, I was just notified that my copy of this new book will be shipped this weekend.  I will write and see if they can tell me in a nutshell if it carries more of the story or is a recap/compilation thing.  I will let you know what I find out.

I talked to the shipper I ordered the book from, and they say the same thing: it's a compilation without new material.  Meh.  Just as well.  It's time for RT to move on to new, more fertile ground.  We fans can fill in all the fiddly bits the way we want to from here.  Still, I did order the book, and it has been shipped so I will have it in my hands soon.  We shall see what we shall see.

I too have just recieved my book.  It is a compilation of most of the pivotal scenes regarding InuYasha, Kikyou, and Kagome, variously.  The book is quite close to 2 inches thick and contains 894 pages.  Now and then, throughout the volume, there are pages that help to bridge when the story skips forward from segment to segment.  I read Japanese poorly so I can't say just what these one or two pages at a time have to say, but, I think what is most telling is that the LAST scene in the book is the one where InuYasha has just gotten his face slammed to the floor in Kagome's bedroom when her family came home.  He's standing in the doorway, face messed up, probably wondering what the hell he was thinking getting close to her like that.  He just ends up shoved away every time….There is NO new art at all. and precious little text other than what the manga pages bring with them.  This acts a lot like a chance to trick the fans out of a little more money at the last minute.  Oh well.  It's OK.  I bought the last couple of volumes at the same time so now my Japanese set is complete.  I can finally enjoy the art the way the artist intended.As for how the story ended, their future is unwritten because that's how Takahashi-sensei wanted to end it.  We may not like it that way, but then, life really is like that in so many ways.Me, I'm content.  I can write the fanfic ending I like for myself.  My best outlet for IY now is my art.  Look for me on Deviant Art under the name M. Skirvin!  I'm having an utter blast doing IY older, more mature, and so much more.  Thanks Starks!  Good luck on whatever you do from here, and if it involves InuYasha, I want to know!  You've certainly earned a huge Attaboy to service above and beyond, as do the scanners and translators.  My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of the people who helped bring IY to me and helped reawaken my art!  Can't stop drawing!
