First two episode titles revealed

The other day, Sunrise posted the first two episode titles on their website and at the same time may have pissed off quite a few manga fans.

  1. Naraku's Heart (奈落の心臓)
  2. Kagura's Wind (神楽の風)

I'm not in a spoiling mood today, but these titles do make me worry a bit about potential pacing. The main issue though is a question of where the anime will start and titles do seem to imply that there might be a jumping or breezing through a dozen or so chapters from where the first anime left off.

On an unrelated note, I'd like to confirm that the first episode will premiere on Sunday, October 4th at 2:20AM on Nippon TV.

Hmm… It does seem like they skiped a few chapters.

Aw man… I just hope they don't skip too much stuff that's in the manga.

Damn, this possibility hadn't even come to mind yet. Skipping chapters? I would rather see from where the anime left off, but at least we got to the point of new animation. We'll all see soon.
Btw does anyone know(or have an estimate of) what the time length will be between the airing of the first episode on Nippon and the publishing of the subbed version on the web? If anyone would like to inform me, I'd be grateful.

@Misspretty

The Hitoukon (root youkai) chapters would be an amazing place to start. But alas, we probably won't get it.

@ Yumi

If the fansubbers are fast, it shouldn't be more than 1-3 days for a quality sub.

Hmmm…..it looks like the animators are going to skip to Kagura's death right away???  Let's hope not!  Thanks again, Starks!

Let's be thankful we're getting anything. Some things may be skipped and/or rushed but at least we're getting coverage of the major arcs. The only arc they could skip entirely and still be accepted is the nothing-as-a-result Moryiyomaru(sp?) one.

After keeping up & reading all the manga (thanks to you) I am so excited about seeing some of it finally animated! Starks…where, how, do I do this? I know you posted a link for anime kraze because they said they would be fansubbing it but I'm a bit technology challenged :) Is there going to be anyway to see these eps as they air or do I have to wait …years ..before Viz picks them up and puts them on tv here in the US.

Of course. What would be the point of fansubbing if you couldn't download a show less than a week after it airs?

Let's think positive. The title can hide lots of manga chapters, and at least Inuyasha continued… I don't think that they're going  to cut lots of scenes… Firsts episodes are a test to the audience. I don't wanna be so negative because of the titles of 2 episodes…
:D

I really hope some fansubbers will pick it up. *crosses fingers* I'll gladly buy the offical if it comes out in Hungary all the rest are already published. Yay!
I was afraid they would drop the "not so interesting/essential" parts, looks like it's a possibility.  I hope the viewing rates will be good enough to up epiode number and monney.

Fansubbers will pick it up. That's a guarantee. It's just a matter of who.

Normally I'd know these things ahead of time because of the fansub wiki, but since Inuyasha Final Act is licensed, nobody can be listed.

All I know is this: 1.) Anime-Kraze subbed the first series and they are coming back for this one with their original translator. 2.) Inuyasha-4Ever is mostly dead and will not likely make a return even though their staff is still around in the fansub community. 3.) There are  plenty of large and small groups that will probably want to sub this.

Furthermore, while I know fansubs are a guarantee; I can't make any promises with respect to speed, quality, or competition. Also, I doubt Inuyasha Final Act will be oversubbed. But that's generally a good thing.

Finally, I'd like to see gg sub this but I doubt Koda is into Inuyasha.

is there a site that anyone's aware of that will host the RAW version of the first ep on the same or right after the same day as its premiere?

Yes. Tokyotosho.info and streaming sites will be chock full of raws for the first episode when it airs.

I just read this on Anime News Network.. The sequel is only slotted for 26 episodes. It's gonna suck. They're gonna HAVE to skip alot of stuff to squeeze the second half of it into 26 eps. Anyway here's the link if you want to comfirm…

I don't know, this might not be bad after all; personally I felt large sections of the last volumes were pretty…boring.

I've kind of gotten over it only being 26 episodes.
At least we get to see the final battle sooner than it it was 100 episodes. : /

I am just happy that we are getting anything at all.
But you guys are right that 26 episodes does seem a little short. I like the episodes where inuyasha when to kagomes time, and the little side stories. However, if 26 is all we get then thats what we get.
BUT DID ANYONE EVER EXPECT THE FIRST ONE TO GO FOR AS LONG AS IT DID.
Maybe if the ratings are high enough and alot of people demand enough we'll get a second season or something.
HAY, IT HAPPENED BEFORE, IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!

I dunno. It almost seems like they just decided to do it because they got bugged to death about it and decided to give the fans something just to shut us up. Even if you leave the side stories out, they're still gonna have to skip over a bunch of stuff to get 150+ chapters into 26 episodes.  Because of the cuts they're gonna have to make to the chapters it might be difficult to follow for those that haven't read the manga. I'm gonna watch it, but I have a feeling that I'll be disappointed in the story line.

Well regardless of the episode count it is still half a years worth of inuyasha ^^ and i can't wait but it really depends if the last episode is an hour long ( which it might be ) they could squeeze some stuff in as side stories perhaps in flashback or for comic relief as a kind of …. dare i say "canon filler"? anyway thanks starks for everything. :3

By any chance, does anyone know if there's been a promo released advertising the series? I thought they would have had one, but I don't know.
