That first "sit" in the episode was just tasteless, Inuyasha did nothing to deserve it, hell the guy was being considerate and not even asking her to come back. She didn't even accidentally say it and she could've just as easily yelled "wait." What a bitch!

I have been waiting for 494 for a while, and through finally seeing it, I believe my expectations were exceeded. I know it wasn't quite shonen to gear this episode toward more of an emotional experience, but I truly believe it was completely necessary. Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship has been growing right before our eyes since episode 1(rocky start, huh?) and this ultimately affects their bond in the final battle. I'm glad Sunrise gave this battle-stalling episode the time of day. Although they don't know it, I appreciate Sunrise and their overall execution of the episode. Plus, a bit of comic relief in a tense and overall dramatic series is always welcome in my book. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember the conversation in the manga between Kaede and IY at the tree. I know they did have one, but I just wanted to comment that moving the scene to a different location was a wise choice. This was a visually aesthetic improvement, and the setting/lighting really drew me in. Starks is right. I didn't agree with adding that extra sit. I was looking forward to Kagome pulling him back by the hair, actually. It looked hilarious the way Takahashi drew it...

This ep had me laffing. It was hilarious especially with the cosplayer references. I do think it was touching that IY and Kags touched upon the possibility of not being with each other in the future and what it would mean for them if they weren't. But we know that doesn't occur. Just wish they had kissed….
So Starks, how many RATIONAL teenage girls do you know? I don't know of any for no matter how rational they are 1 moment, they still can be RAVING LUNATICS the next. You can blame pituitary gland, out of control hormones and that thing called puberty for this sort of thing. Don't matter what age they are, teenage girls are not rational ppl….

MY OH MY OH MY

I won't lie this was one of my favorite episodes and I guess its not hard to tell why. I've always enjoyed the modern day episodes though. I feel its a nice change of pace thats adds that small bit of comedy and light-heartedness in InuYasha. I think if the show was just ACTION ACTION ACTION SHIKON JEWEL ACTION REST all the time...it would be rather boreing, so I think it just makes a good balance. Also it adds more lovable traits to the characters that you just really don't get in the serious episodes.

so I love that they combined these chapters actually to make a full episode out of it.

THAT ENDING

goodness did I love it! Like I said its much easier to do sliding images/walk scenes with endings, but if done the right way it sure can look GORGEOUS. Very fitting song too. I was worried it would be too...hip-hoppy like the last two endings. But I love it, its incredibly catchy

boy do they like to flaunt those effects now and days!

Also because of Final Act I had the urge to rewatch the 4th movie thats been sitting on my shelf for a year or two now...since I bought it. :) The animation in the Final Act really almost reaches the movie quality and that really impresses me. Maybe that could also be that they stuck to the 26 episode limit. I'm sure with a longer running series that animation quality would be hard to keep up with.

I wanna kill that little >:( *sigh* okay done with the rant.

Beautifully animated, excellent pacing, an overall good episode in my opinion. Lol, Jaken was sooo funny in the beginning Can't wait for next week's episode (SangoXMiroku FTW)
