Adult Swim preparing 1:30 AM slot for Inuyasha Final Act?

AS is moving Inuyasha reruns up to 1:30 AM starting on August 28. This is noteworthy because the series has not aired earlier than 5 AM for at least 2 years. As AS cuts most of its anime from Saturday for a 2 AM repeat schedule, one would've expected a more predictable choice like Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, or FLCL for the 1:30 AM slot.

Furthermore, the current run-through of Inuyasha is ending within the next few weeks and would apparently restart from episode 1 on August 28th. This puzzles me somewhat since the 3rd new AS anime of 2010 is supposed to premiere on September 25th. Is it possible that AS could be pairing up the premiere of the Inuyasha Final Act with new Bleach episodes and Kekkaishi episodes a month earlier on August 28th? Maybe, some people are suggesting that AS may replay 164, 165, 166, and 167 at the 1:30 AM slot to better prepare everyone for a September 25th premiere.

At any rate, Viz should be spilling the beans on the dub quite soon at the upcoming anime conventions, namely Otakon.

Oh boy! I'm 2nd!

IY at 1:30am? I'm sure the latest round of IY geeks on AS will be happy. I got the entire 1st series, so I watch it whenever I'm missing the Yasha. We'll see what happens with IY. I'm looking forward to new Bleach. Kekkaishi is another AS flop like S-Cry-Ed or E7. BLEH!  (Quote)

I cannot believe how long its taking Viz and Adult Swim to confirm any of this. Maybe its me but I would think they'd want build it up even more by announcing the plans already.

I am assuming they intend to air one episode a week, although i'd kill for them to just play one episode a day. Its gonna suck waiting 26 weeks to see all the episodes in English. It will be great once they are all out and I can watch the episodes without having to deal with subtitles.  (Quote)

I wish the timeslot was better, I was hoping for at least midnight or something. This really feels like it's being pushed back.

All signs definitely point towards early Sunday morning 8/29 being it, it matches up too well with the previous week starting the repeat Saturdays, making it only episode 167  (Quote)

Hi!

Well, I really don't care what time they show InuYasha, just knowing that they are finally gonna air the "Final Act" dub episodes on AS has me sqeeeing. Ooo, can't wait when they finally announce it! And really can't wait when they come out on dvd! Then I'll definitely have all the seasons. I wonder if they'll put 'em out on blu-ray, seeing as how the episodes were all hi-def.

Ok, so episode 167 and episode 1 (restart of series)aired Saturday, August 21. The Adult Swim schedule for August 28th says "Episode 1" 1:30 and it repeats at 5:30. However, It doesn't Appear to have yellow highlite, which premier's usually do.

I did hear that AS is trying to keep purchase of final episodes quiet becuase they may have borrowed from peter to pay paul on this buy! Maybe that explains it, maybe not, IDK.  (Quote)
